DHL Transport Management Tool – an electronic communication platform for LLP and 4PL solutions

Thanks to electronic data exchange parallel to the flow of goods all transport documents are at destination before arrival of the shipment.

DHL Freight Switzerland has considerable experience in setting up EDI links with its customers, and all of the proposed DHL systems are able to receive information about a customer’s shipments, and send back milestone event information. Data exchange between DHL’s own systems is also generally well established, and is based on the use of FTP.

DHL’s TMT systems work with standard format files when exchanging data electronically. All data files are processed in an EDI translator, enabling DHL to send/receive electronic files in format specified by its customers. DHL has considerable EDI experience and currently exchanges data files in a number of formats: EDIFACT, XML, flat file, etc.
